“Delegation of Chinese Investors to Eastern Canada—High-Tech Innovation Tour” that was organized by Zhongguancun Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (“ZVCA”) brought to a successful closure on October 4^th, 2015,

This delegation was held together by ZVCA, Canadian government and embassy of Canada in China, which was led by the president of ZVCA Mr. Shaojie Wang, providing a good chance for Chinese investors to visit Canadian Hi-tech companies and projects. During the 9 days’ business tour, delegates have visited Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal, to have special sessions with Ontario government, Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development, Invest Ottawa and Investment Quebec. This delegation has focused on the industries of life science and health care, delegates has visited local hi-tech enterprises and had B2B meetings with over 40 high quality projects roadshows which were specially organized by local governments and incubators. They have visited famous incubator in North America MaRS, UHN, e-commercial company Shopify, DS Welch Bussieres etc. and had meetings with CEO of MaRS, Partner of OCE Peter McFadzean, president of UHN Geoff Fernies. This delegation has promoted the understandings between Chinese investors and Canadian government and Canadian organizations by its rich delegation agenda, for which it received good reputation from each side.
