At the just-concluded "2016 International Innovation and Capital Forum", a separate parallel event attracted the attention of investors nationwide. Song Anlan (Managing Partner, Softbank China), Yan Yong (Managing Director, Fosun Group) and Sun Ke (Senior Investment Director, Leshi Holdings) acted as moderators while hundreds of professional investors onsite and hundreds more offsite in Shanghai and Guangzhou participated via an advanced video broadcast system. In real time with Israel, twenty high-quality, rigorously screened and innovative Israeli projects were presented to investors – all of which are in line with China's investment preferences. 

As forum organizer, Zhongguancun Private Equity and Venture Capital Association, successfully facilitated the Chinese venture capital industry’s first cross-border innovative project Roadshow in four places across two nations. This is the first time in China's venture capital industry to hold such a large-scale intensive Roadshow on cross-border innovation projects. This event upgrades the Association’s first Israeli Innovation Project Roadshow in 2015 and has gained support from Guangdong Province Venture Capital Association and the Shanghai partners as well. After the conference, participating investors from Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou all praised the high quality of the Roadshow and expressed their desire for more of Israel’s innovation miracle.

Per Mr. Wang Shaojie, President of Zhongguancun Private Equity and Venture Capital Association, the Roadshow projects were carefully selected according to China’s preference from over one hundred Israeli innovation projects by Israeli co-sponsors – Tel Aviv University’s School of Management, the Israel Institute of Technology, Infiniti Group and Israeli venture capital funds (JVP). They covered almost the entire spectrum of world-leading Israeli technology including healthcare, telecommunication, social media, intelligent hardware, TMT, network security, biotechnology, clean technology, environmental technology, internet of things (IOT), robotics, big data, high-tech materials, computer vision and artificial intelligence.

Liang Wei, Deputy Secretary General of the Association, said this year's event was a great success and future cooperation with Israel will be further deepened. She revealed that in addition to project roadshows, the Association has also been organizing members to form business delegation tours to Israel for in-depth study and investigation of local investment projects. After years of continuous efforts, it has gained recognition and appraisal from the Government of Israel as well as research institutions, venture capital firms and incubators. Each event has been treated with high consideration in Israel and the delegation tours have become landmarks of cooperation between Zhongguancun and Israel. We welcome more friends to come to know Israel, the magical kingdom that has given birth to so many innovative ideas.

In addition to the Israeli project roadshow, 2016 Innovation Vision’s main forum was also extremely hot this year. Hundreds of listed companies attended and many well-known scholars like Jia Kang and Zhou Chunsheng exchanged ideas. Nearly one thousand people attended the conference. Ambassadors and Counselors from Canada, the United States, Israel, Switzerland and other countries were also present and made speeches. The Association signed Agreements with Canadian Parent Fund, Qianhai Equity Fund of Funds, and Shanghai Equity Exchange respectively on the spot. The whole forum is an indelible milestone of Zhongguancun’s development into a world-class Financial Innovation Hub.
