On July 1, 13 national standards such as GB/T 35609-2017 "Green Product Evaluation Waterproofing and Sealing Materials" approved by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine and the National Standardization Administration Committee were officially implemented.

Green materials refer to building materials that use clean production technology, non-toxic, non-polluting, non-radioactive, environmentally friendly and protect human health. In 1992, the international academic community defined green materials as materials that minimized the global environmental load and benefited human health in the process of raw material adoption, manufacturing, use or recycling, and waste disposal.
