On November 1st, Chinese President Xi Jinping and UAE President Mohammed exchanges congratulatory messages to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Xi Jinping points out that China and UAE are good friends, basing on mutual trust and good partners for win-win cooperation; since the establishment of diplomatic relations 40 years ago, China-UAE relations have maintained healthy and stable development, political mutual trust between the two countries has been continuously consolidated, development strategies have been deeply aligned, practical cooperation in various fields has yielded fruitful results, cultural exchanges are close, and good communication and coordination have been maintained in regional and international affairs. During Mr. President's state visit to China in May this year, we reached important consensus and pointed out the direction for the development of China-UAE relations in the next stage. I attach great importance to the development of China-UAE relations and would like to work with Mr. President to take the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries as a new starting point to promote China-UAE comprehensive strategic partnership to a higher level and make greater contributions to promoting regional and world peace and stability while better benefiting the Chinese and UAE peoples.

Mohammed expresses that on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between UAE and China, he would like to extend the sincerest congratulations and best wishes to President Xi Jinping, wishing the two countries continuous development, prosperity, and more cooperation in various fields. The UAE side has always been committed to consolidating and developing the comprehensive strategic partnership between UAE and China for the benefit of the two peoples.

On the same day, the Chinese Premier of the State Council and the Vice President, Li Qiang, and the vice-president and Prime Minister of UAE, Mohammed, exchanges congratulatory messages. Li Qiang expresses that China is willing to work hand in hand with UAE, taking the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and UAE as an opportunity to implement the important consensus reached between President Xi Jinping and President Mohammed, and continuously enrich the connotation of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and UAE.

Mohammed states that UAE is willing to deepen bilateral relations with China and strengthen cooperation in various fields.
